Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
-
Yes - entirely. Neither universities, writers, nor readers pay to use Sanctuary. Our goal is to build an open, active platform for emerging writers.
-
If you can, ask your creative writing society to reach out to us. If you’re not a member, or if your university doesn’t have a writing club, just send us an email and we’ll help you take part.
-
Absolutely. Publishing on Sanctuary does not transfer ownership or relinquish you of any rights. Ownership isn’t a nice-to-have; it’s the bedrock of creativity.
-
Absolutely! Feel free to contact us, including at writers@sanctuarystories.co.uk.
Set up a Society
We’ll set up your Society for you so that you can start inviting members. Before we approve your Society, we’ll do a quick check to make sure it matches our criteria.
If your society fulfils one of these criteria:
Affiliated with a University, College or educational institution
Professionally organised or administered
A hub for writers in your local community
We’d be especially interested in hearing from you.
